People shouted at each other on the occasion of Holi colors,
ate sweets and greetings message of cultural harmony. However, most places except
the events of Muzaffarnagar and Jaipur Holi festival ran without any untoward
incident. Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district for allegedly firing two
brothers were injured. Holi in Jaipur, about 70 people were injured in the
incidents.
Morning, young people and children, friends and family were
beside themselves with colors and pancake, yogurt enjoyed traditional
delicacies such as big and Gujiya. The people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the
festival enjoyed heavily on folk songs and danced. President Pranab Mukherjee,
Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister congratulated the people and
said that the festival of Holi symbolizes tolerance and prosperity.The people
in the capital, with plenty of friends and family members played colors and
water balloons at passers rained.
