Earthquake in Indonesia, warning of tsunami issued

On the west coast of Sumatra in Indonesia strong earthquake tremors were felt today. The quake, measuring 8.3 on the Richter scale Geological Survey said the quake's center Gikameriki southwest of Padang at a depth of 808 kilometers, was located 10 kilometers away.

There was no is no immediate information provided for the damages occurred because of earthquake. But the tsunami warning has also been issued after the next few hours. Fishermen are not supposed to go to the sea and coastal people have been asked to take extra vigilance.
