Egyptian airline "Egypt Air" on Tuesday was flying
from Alexandria to Cairo to hijack a plane and landed at the airport of Cyprus,
Larnaca.
Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation reports that the plane
carrying 55 people, including a crew of 7 members. It was reported earlier that
the plane carrying more than 80 people.
The flight crew members and four hijackers except foreign
nationals have released all the passengers. It is believed that at least one
armed hijackers in the plane which is equipped with weapons and explosives.
The civil aviation ministry said that a suicide bomber
wearing an explosive belt also threatened to blow up passenger aircraft.
