Asia-Pacific's largest security center opened today in the
Chinese capital. Protection and control of nuclear materials to countries in
the region to train personnel at the center has been established.
China Atomic Energy Authority Chairman ShuDajeSiaia and the
US Energy Department said Siaia built in the center of China and other
countries in the Asia-Pacific region has the capacity to train 2,000 personnel
in nuclear safety. Construction of the center started in December 2013. It is
the largest nuclear program, which has a direct investment by China and the US.
Today's program in China, was attended by top officials of
the IAEA,the US and the International Atomic Energy Agency. China and the US
nuclear security had agreedto set up a nuclear safetysummit in Washington in
2010.
