In the absence of immediate action on complaints Prime Minister Modi piqued, imposed reprimand on officials



Modi directed officers totake drastic actions against complaints on customs and excise sector. The PMO said in a statement that he had asked the secretaries to make arrangements for top-level monitoring of the complaints immediately.

The Prime Minister directed the video conferencing via the progress (Pro Active Governance and timely implementation) given during the ninth meeting. This is an IT-based multi-modal platform, under which the various central departments and state governments communicate with top officials through video conferencing.

During the meeting, Modi reviewed the progress of important infrastructural projects in several states, roads, railways, coal, electricity and renewable energy sectors. Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan were included.
